I am part of somebody's chain letter group from my former parish. This week's email--which had been forwarded from group to group at least five times--included children's letters to God; comments about church, slightly altered prayers and more attributed to small children.
Here's my favorite. One particular four-year-old prayed:
"And forgive us our trash baskets
as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."
How true! I will never experience the Lord's Prayer quite the same way again.
